Chiara de Blasio's floral headband look

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Meet Chiara de Blasio, New York City's soon-to-be first daughter. Her dad, Bill de Blasio, won the mayoral election in a landslide victory. Although her brother Dante's 'do got a lot of attention, now her floral headband is taking center stage.

Katharine Zarrella, style.com fashion editor, says Chiara's look of floral bands, velvet dresses, and Doc Martens is actually on trend.

We showed photos of Chiara's look to women on the street, and got a variety of reactions.

Folks at Ana Belen's tell me it's not just young girls getting hair accessories either -- older women are also coming in.

I tried a floral headband on. Clearly they aren't for everyone, including me.

As for Chiara, love the look of hate it, she definitely wears the headbands with a cool confidence of a true New Yorker.
