Two Studies Shed Light On Dating Preferences

Posted: Updated:

Forget the bars, turns out that some people think the best place to find a partner is at the office! Also, are wide-faced men better for a fling?

In a new survey, 80% of people polled said they'd prefer to find their perfect match at work.

They say that it's easier at the office because there's no "getting to know you" stage.

In addition, 73% of women said they'd like to date a man in a senior role.  61% said that they find a powerful male more attractive than lower-powered males. However, men said they'd rather have a fling with someone not as high up in the ranks. Men also said they loved when women show up to work in sexy outfits (80% said so).

This study surveyed 2,000 men. Flirt.com did this survey.

In the second study, researchers in Singapore say that men with wide faces tend to make more money and are perceived as more attractive, at least for the short term.

Think Colin Firth or Simon Cowell; the study found that men like this are more powerful and women find them more attractive. Men with wide faces also tend to be wealthier.

There is a down-side, however, according to the study. These men tend to be more aggressive and violent and are perceived as such.

Women in the study also said that they prefer wide-faced men for more of a "fling", than a long-term relationship.

This study arrived at these conclusions by analyzing 158 speed dater.
