Week 11 Kicker rankings

1. Steven Hauschka, SEA vs. MIN

Seattle continues to roll to victory even in close games and Steven Hauschka has been a key cog in that wheel. Only Nick Folk has made more field goals than Hauschka this season and only Mason Crosby has more attempts. The Vikings defense is holier than the Pope at a Christmas Eve service as only two teams have given up more extra points this season. They don't offer much of a challenge for field goals either as they are one of two teams who have a field goal percentage of 100% against them.

2. Stephen Gostkowski, NE @ CAR

The Patriots offense is starting to get hot which will only drive up Stephen Gostkowski's fantasy numbers. He has made multiple field goals in every game this season and only one player has made more field goals than he has through nine games. Carolina has given up the fewest extra points this season with an incredibly low count of seven, but field goal wise they are middle of the pack. They have allowed multiple kicks in six of 10 games and only shut out opposing kickers completely once.

3. Nick Folk, NYJ @ BUF

Nick Folk is the leader in the NFL clubhouse with 23 field goals made this season on 23 attempts. Only Mason Crosby has more attempts but he has a tendency to slice kicks like my Grandma slices tee shots. There is no safe place to stand, keep your head on a swivel. Buffalo is a great matchup as they have allowed the most field goal attempts through 10 games this season and only four teams have allowed more extra points. The Jets continue to grind out wins and a lot of that is owed to Folk's big leg.

4. Matt Prater, DEN vs. KC

Matt Prater's fantasy value is about quantity over quality. Only three kickers have fewer field goals but he's kicked 16 more extra points than his closest competitor Garrett Hartley. Kansas City has made a living off of their defense so it's likely that Prater will not get shut out from field goal range like he has been in three games this season including last week. Only three teams have allowed fewer field goals than Kansas City and only the Panthers have allowed fewer extra points. He has only kicked less than four extra points once this season so expect at least three with another two field goals mixed in this week.

5. Nick Novak, SD @ MIA

The Miami Dolphins defense has struggled off and on this season and its lead to some very solid kicking numbers for opposing teams. Only four teams have allowed more field goal attempts than the fish and they've only held opposing kickers to one field goal made in two of nine games. Nick Novak is just one kick shy of being in the top 10 for field goal attempts this season Novak's foot on the ball signifies good things for the Chargers as they've three of four games where he kicks at least three field goals.

6. Ryan Succop, KC @ DEN

Ryan Succop has been all over the board this season as he has four games with three or more field goals and five games with one or fewer. The Chiefs offense likes to grind it out on the ground which plays right into the hands of the Broncos defense so Succop should get some opportunities as drives stall out closer to the end zone. The Denver Broncos have given up multiple field goals in seven of nine games so the odds are heavily in Succop's favor to have a good week.

7. Alex Henery, PHI vs. WAS

Washington has only allowed 11 field goals this season but with their defensive woes they are tied with the Jaguars for the most extra points allowed this season. The Eagles put up 33 points in week one against the R words and Alex Henery kicked one field goal. The R words have allowed a field goal in eight of nine games and Henery kicked four against them in two games last season. With the Philly offense clicking the past two weeks and Washington's defense playing at the same level of mediocrity Henery will get his chances.

8. Dan Carpenter, BUF vs. NYJ

Dan Carpenter is on a roll this season as only four kickers have made more field goals. He has kicked one through the uprights in nine of 10 games this season and has multiple field goals in five games. The Jets have allowed multiple field goals in five of nine games but have only shut out opposing kickers in two games. Last season Carpenter kicked five field goals on seven chances against the Jets so this is shaping up to be a solid matchup this week.

9. Mason Crosby, GB @ NYG

If Mason Crosby could find some consistency he'd be the best kicker fantasy football. No kicker has more field goal attempts and he has the ninth most extra points in the NFL. Crosby has already missed four field goals this season including two last week but has made at least two field goals in six of nine games. The Giants have only allowed two field goals during their current three game winning streak but have allowed multiple kicks in five of nine games.

10. Garrett Hartley, NO vs. SF

I think it's safe to say that seven extra points in one week is a number to build off of. Garrett Hartley is continuing to struggle from field goal range by going 0-1 last week but only five players have more attempts than he does so he will get his chances. The 49ers defense has been very good this season and has allowed the fewest field goal attempts and makes through nine games. Still, with the high powered Saints offense you have to assume that Drew Brees and company will move the ball into scoring position a few times this week.

Rian Lindell, TB vs. ATL

Only seven kickers have kicked fewer field goals than Rian Lindell this season but this week he faces a Falcons team with clipped wings. Through nine games the Falcons are tied with the Lions for the most field goals allowed this season. Eight of the nine kickers they have faced kicked multiple field goals and they've given up three or more extra points in seven of nine games. All signs point to a big week for Mr. Lindell's right foot.

Shaun Suisham, PIT vs. DET

Only four kickers have kicked more field goals than Shaun Suisham but only four kickers have kicked fewer extra points as well which puts him in the middle of the pack points wise. This week he faces a Detroit team that like Atlanta hands out field goals like Halloween candy. The Lions have only give up one field goal in two games and Suisham has more games of multiple kicks that singles or goose eggs so he makes a good play this week.
