Police are searching for a gunman they say killed a man on a Sandy Springs sidewalk on Friday morning.  It happened in front of a shopping center near Interstate 285 and Roswell Road.

A spokesperson for the Sandy Springs Police Department tells FOX 5 News that 31-year-old Tranquilino Garcia-Lorenzo gunned down 28-year-old Freddie Antonio Rosales-Ruano outside a shopping center in the 200 block of Northwood Drive just after 10 a.m.

Police say the gunman, who also goes by the nickname "Frankie", fled the scene after the shooting.

Investigators have not released any information about a possible motive for the shooting.

Anyone with further information can call the Sandy Springs Police Tip Line at 770-551-3300. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information.
