Ervin, Katherine & Jayden: Romper Room Full Of Love

Posted: Updated:

This week on Wednesday's Child we have our own version of the once-popular TV
show for preschoolers, "Romper Room". So we invite you to take a peek into our
version of "television-land" and see Ervin, and Katherine, and Jayden as they spend
the day together in parallel and associative play at Under the Sea Indoor Playground
in Culver City, California.

Ervin (2009) just started attending pre-school and is learning to adjust to the rules
and regulations of a structured classroom. Ervin loves cars and trucks and is already
showing signs of becoming a racer. But Ervin also shows signs of not wanting to
leave his younger siblings behind.

Katherine (2010) is a cheerful and loving little girl who thrives on getting hugs and positive attention. She shows signs of becoming a chatterbox but fortunately is fine when at times those on the listening end are only her dolls and stuffed animals.

Jayden (2012) appears to be on target developmentally, walking without assistance and speaking in one word statements. Jayden is also learning to drink from a Sippy cup and is on his way to becoming a "big kid" who gets to eat a variety of foods.

As we look through our "magic mirror", we see that these three siblings (who are not all currently placed together) had fun at play together. We are now waiting to see who
will find the room in their hearts and home to raise these three tykes together as their own. To learn more about Ervine and Katherine and Jayden.

This week's Wednesday's Child is another sample of just how strong the human spirit is even in the earliest stages. Samajai (2012) has been negotiating many medical issues since his beginning, including Intrauterine Growth Restriction, Microcephaly, Goldenhar Syndrome, an ear anomaly, hypospadius, a ventricular septal defect, a cleft palate and a rib/sternum anomaly.

This week we want to make a federal case for Joseph (1998) finding a forever family, so we obtained the necessary clearances to accompany Joseph to the Los Angeles Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). And during our friendly investigation, we found Joseph to be a dynamic teen with a good bit of focus and determination for someone his age.

We're in the hazy days of August and soon it will be back-to-school for many children… or the very first day of school for kids like Khalid (2009), who will be starting kindergarten soon. But before he heads off to school, we swooped up Khalid and his baby sister Ah'Niyah (2011) for a day of fun and play at Pelican Pier at Shoreline Village in Long Beach, California.
