New Product Seeks To Make Long Distance Touch Possible

Posted: Updated:

Long distance relationships can be hard. Sometimes, phone calls, texting and Skyping are not enough. Seeing the necessity for something more physical, a Manhattan-based company has created a way to actually feel your partner's touch while they are away. The new product is a wristband pair called TapTap.

If one wristband is tapped, the other will vibrate.

The Tap Taps creator says that the bracelets are a way to let someone know you're thinking about them.

According to TapTap creator:

Our goal is to create this secret universe which only you two can access. A secret place available for you no matter how far away you are from each other. A place where you can be together, with no words, no strangers, same place as was the room where you first touched each other.

The company, called Woodenshark, is currently working on a crowdfunding campaign to raise $130,000 in a month. They have about $84,000 raised and have 48 hours to go.

Currently, the wristbands are sold in pairs for $130 if you back the project. A special app is used to sync them.
