Olate Dogs 'Think Big' And Perform For GDLA

Posted: Updated:

Winner of the 2012 season of Americas' Got Talent as part of the now infamous Olate Dogs family performing act, 20 year-old Nicholas Olate says, "I'm finding out quickly that dreams can come true with dedication and persistence."

He continues, "Winning America's Got Talent was an honor and life changing experience. My father grew up really poor. There were even times he didn't have food or shoes and started working when he was 5 years old selling things on the streets. When he was 12 years old, he found a dog off the street and started training and it is through hard work that he's progressed to where he is now. So for me, it's great to see how wonderful his life is now. That gives me a lot of motivation to be successful as a performer. In that way, I can give him, along with the rest of my family an even more wonderful life -- not that their lives aren't great now but I want to spoil them. Knowing the struggle my dad had when he was younger and being able to share that winning moment with him was so great."

Currently on a whirlwind tour, Nicholas is moving his musical career forward and has released his debut album. He says, "We've been working non-stop on this project and it's something no one has seen or heard before."

The new album, "Think Big," is a captivating and moving album that heralds the arrival of a gifted pop singer, dancer, and performer. Grammy songwriter-producer Tommy Marolda (Imagine Dragons, Killers, Rod Stewart) was enlisted to make Nicholas' debut release sound familiar, while striving to create his own signature sound.

Nicholas has crafted his songs precisely the way he's always envisioned. He's created an album in "Think Big" that is the culmination of where he's been and where he's going. It's a project Nicholas hopes will win him the notoriety that is possible, given the scope and quality of his songs and performances. He continues, "I'm very excited to have my album coming out along with the "Dogs" Christmas album and our theatre show in the works. And I'll bet you didn't know our dogs sing too."

With his confident and likable personality, along with a sound being compared to a young Justin Timberlake, Nicholas' debut release on Los Angeles based Domo Music Group is sure to be a hit with fans.
