Steve's Custom Shoes From Left Shoe Company

Posted: Updated:

When Lucas Neff stopped by from ‘Raising Hope' the conversation quickly became about Steve's "old man shoes."

A revolutionary advent in men's footwear, The Left Shoe Company matches state-of-the-art technology with old-world craftsmanship to create the world's most affordable made-to-measure shoes.

Utilizing a circular, raised platform fitted with a 3D scanner - the same state-of-the-art technology used in the film industry for 3D motion capture, The Left Shoe Company captures a precision 360-degree picture of each foot, resulting in the most accurate and detailed measurement available today.

Gentlemen are asked to don a pair of bright yellow, gridded socks, step onto the platform and have their feet scanned. Within seconds, virtual 3D models of their feet are generated, which are used to create highly personalized style and size matches from the company's last library - tailored to volume as much as length.

Once the digital measurements are complete, the customer can conveniently order a new pair of shoes whenever he sees fit - by either going online, or into the shop.

The Left Shoe Co. is the only store in the U.S. that has this technology.

The customer can choose a style from the store's wide selection of categories including, Oxfords, Derbies, Loafers, Boots, Boat and Golf shoes.  Once he has decided on a particular style, he is then able to customize his shoes by selecting design options including type of leather, suede or material, stitching, color, sole, and even a personal inscription.
Each pair of shoes is handmade by master craftsmen in Portugal using the finest of Italian leather and suede.

Whereas 'bespoke' custom shoes run from $3,000 to $7,000, The Left Shoe Company's master craftsmen guarantee optimal fit and comfort for prices ranging from $375 to $650.
It is documented that 85% of men's feet are significantly different sizes - the Left Shoe Co. solves the problem of having to favor one foot - it is equal opportunity for both feet.

Custom shoes from The Left Shoe Company are a unique, innovative and personal gift.  They are a great gift for the hard to please man - he can basically design his own shoes that will fit his feet perfectly.

Throughout the month of December , for every man who gets his feet scanned at the store, The Left Shoe Company, will donate $5 to The Bob Woodruff Foundation, which is dedicated to ensuring injured service members, veterans and their families thrive long after they return.  The Bob Woodruff Foundation serves injured service members, veterans and their families, and the caregivers and communities who support them. We navigate a maze of more than 40,000 nonprofits serving post-9/11 veterans to find, fund and shape innovative programs meeting challenges in three key areas:  Education and Employment; Rehabilitation and Recovery; and Quality of Life.
