12-year-old Justin Townsend was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stage-four cancer in September. Doctors found a golf ball-sized tumor in his brain.

Wednesday night the community held a fundraiser in his honor at The New Rink in Shelby Township. Justin couldn't be there because he is at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. receiving treatment.

Justin's father spoke with Fox 2, though, and says he is doing well and they are expecting him to be home before Christmas.
