David Reid was found set on fire in a vacant lot located at Hubbell and Fullerton streets on Detroit's west side June 5, 2012. Police say the fire took place around 2:45 a.m. A Detroit Police officer noticed what he thought was a brush fire when he found Reid on fire.

Reid was last seen the day before getting into a SUV in a Comerica Bank parking lot near Chicago Street and Schaefer Highway.

Reid was 35 years old. He attended Detroit Public Schools where he excelled in science and art. He has several murals displayed in the city of Detroit. He has also been honored with having his artwork displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone who has information regarding the crime should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587. All calls and cash rewards are completely anonymous.
