Fl. Student Suspended For Twerking In Class

Posted: Updated:

Think before you twerk. That's the lesson one Florida middle school student learned the hard way after he was suspended for doing the dance in class.

A sixth grade boy at Naples Middle School began twerking it class when his foot slipped on the wall and hit the fire alarm.

His twerk turned into chaos.

Teachers were scrambling around the school, and the fire department even showed up.

Twerking has since been banned at the school. Parents and school officials say that the dance is inappropriate. Students disagree and think it's just for fun.

"When somebody does something like that it ruins it for everyone," said student Alyssa Murillo.
