Car crashes into Trader Joe's on Long Island

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A car crashed into a Trader Joe's store in Oceanside, Long Island, Friday afternoon, police said. The accident happened at about 1 p.m. on 3418 Long Beach Road, Nassau County Police said.

Witnesses said that an elderly woman was behind the wheel of a sedan that slammed into other cars in the parking lot, jumped the curb, and crashed through the glass of the store.

At least 15 people were hurt, authorities said. A dozen were taken to hospitals while three refused medical attention.
