Police ID Woman Killed In Delaware Hit-And-Run

WILMINGTON, Del. -

Delaware State Police are searching for the driver behind a fatal hit-and-run.

The crash leaves a woman dead and police left to piece together clues in her tragic death.

It happened just before 9 a.m. Friday on the 600 block of Marsh Road in Wilmington, near Mount Pleasant High School.

The body of 63-year-old Li Yu Zhang was discovered by a passing motorist just off the road.

Police discovered small car parts near her body and will examine them to try and determine a make and model of the striking vehicle.

Zhang was known to walk along marsh road with some of her belongings in bags. She did have family and a North Wilmington address.

If you know anyone who travels this stretch of Marsh Road and has fresh front-end damage to their car, please call Delaware State Police.
