Some hotels across the country and beyond are embracing a new travel trend: women-only hotel floors.
While the set-ups vary from hotel to hotel, the "women-only" floors typically offer increased security and privacy.
They also include female focused amenities like yoga mats, flat irons and hygiene products, all free of charge.
Industry experts identified three things that are important to female travelers when deciding where to stay: safety, empowerment and pampering.
So far, women-only floors have appeared in hotels in Singapore, Minneapolis, Vancouver, Washington, D.C. and London.
