CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall has never been to the playoff, but he isn't feeling any anxiety knowing he and the Bears control their own destiny heading into the final two games.

"The anxiety for me came from relying on somebody else. Now that we control our own destiny I'm kind of at ease and really focused on Philadelphia."

Marshall's mantra starts with Marc Trestman who maintains no one game is bigger than another.

"Only thing we're guaranteed is this one game," Trestman said.

Trestman has said it all along and laughed out loud when asked if he would approach Sunday night's game differently if Green Bay and Detroit both lost before the Bears even take the field.

"I don't know, " he smiled, " I haven't spent any time thinking about it."

They can't afford to think about anything but the up tempo Eagles who rank in the top 10 in every offensive category. And they are led by the NFL's top running back, LeSean McCoy.

"Where to begin?" Defensive Co-coordinator Mel Tucker asked Wednesday. "{McCoy} is fast, he's quick, he's got great vision."

Corey Wootton added "He cuts on a dime, I don't know if anybody in the league can cut like he does so we have to be in our spots and get to the ball."

McCoy spoke with the media via conference call and didn't put a goal on his yardage against the Bears 32nd ranked rush defense. Though he did say when you see how teams have been able to gash the Bears on the ground, "A light bulb goes off, we can really get the running game going."

Yeah...they can.

But a healthy Lance Briggs would make that more difficult.

Briggs hasn't played in eight weeks and remains optimistic day to day after practicing with the first team on Wednesday.

"Lance is a unique athlete," Trestman said, "we want to have him back. How much? We'll see, but it certainly would be good for our football team to have him out there."

Lance remains the Bears 4th leading tackler despite missing the last seven games.

"We all know what Lance is capable of, he's a monster out there," Marshall added. "I wouldn't test him too much…his history says enough."

Briggs said he would talk to the media on Thursday with a status update for Sunday likely included. Whether the Packers and Lions win or not, Briggs should test his conditioning and try to get back into rhythm with this defense.

After all, a playoff run of any sort depends on his presence.
