HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) - Police say they busted four New Jersey men and a boy on burglary charges after following them on a trip to Manhattan to sell stolen jewelry.

The suspects include 50-year-old Jeffrey Whitaker, of Teaneck, a founder of the "James Bond Gang" that used high-tech gadgets to burglarize homes in Englewood and Teaneck in the 1980s and 1990s.

The Record reports that 41-year-old suspect William Collins of Hackensack also has a record of burglary. He and Whitaker were both paroled in July for previous burglary convictions.

The other three suspects are 17 and 18 years old.

All five were arrested Monday and charged in at least two burglaries.

The adults were being held in Bergen County Jail.
