Metra Milwaukee District North trains delayed

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Mechanical problems caused three trains on Metra's Milwaukee District North Line to temporarily stop near north suburban Libertyville during the morning commute Thursday.

Inbound trains no. 2108, 2110 and 2112—scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:32 a.m., 7:48 a.m. and 7:54 a.m. respectively—were stopped near Libertyville due to mechanical problems Thursday morning, according to a service alert posted on Metra's website shortly before 7 a.m.

All of the trains were moving again as of 7:15 a.m., according to the website, with trains no. 2108 and 2110 operating as a combined train with a 30 to 35 minute delay. Train no. 2112 was delayed at least 26 minutes.
