NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Was he a hungry robber? Police of Long Island say that a man who had purchased a hamburger at a fast food joint went back again and ordered a second burger as he robbed the place.

Nassau County Police say it happened Sunday at about 4:55 p.m. in Oceanside.

Police say the man went into the Burger King on Long Beach Road and ordered a burger. He left the store but returned five minutes later wearing a mask. He ordered second burger.

When the cashier opened the register, cops say the man walked around the counter and stole cash from the drawer.

He walked out of the store and drove off down Weidner Ave. in a black Honda with tape covering New York State license plates.

There were four employees but no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and no one was hurt.

Detectives ask anyone with information about this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Police say that all callers will remain anonymous.
