Rahm Emanuel visits crews filling potholes

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago crews are working seven days a week to fill the potholes.

Yet, there are always more.

Lake Shore Drive, for example, is a minefield.

Friday Mayor Emanuel visited with crews working on West Taylor Street.

Drivers are encouraged to call 311 to report potholes, but there is a backlog.

If history is any guide it could be a few days before the ones on your street get fixed.

A report tracking pothole repair from 2010 to 2012 found that more than a quarter of the potholes were still unfilled, a week later.

To report a pothole near you, visit the City of Chicago's website.
