A new study finds that childless couples are more happily married than couples without children. This new survey found that couples are more satisfied in their relationships.
The survey, by Open University and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council in the United Kingdom, concluded that childless couples are more likely to feel valued by their partner.
More than 5,000 people of all ages and sexual orientations took part in the survey.
However, researcher found that women with children are still happier overall than those without, but men with children were slightly less happy than childless husbands.
The study also found that small gestures of appreciation and affection are what really make relationships work.
