Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman at a condominium complex near Meadowbrook and Eight Mile Road in Novi.

Investigators were on the scene for hours Monday evening but police have released no information about the death.

State police have a mobile evidence lab at the complex. Officers were seen taking measurements and photographs, collecting fingerprints and searching throughout the home.

"I stay in the apartments right next door and I walk my dog here all the time, and I've never seen a police presence like this here. When I first came through, I [saw] the yellow tape around so I knew something sort of bad had happened," says Michael Greene.
