Arizona CBP officers seize 591 pounds of pot

DOUGLAS, Ariz. -

Two men from Mexico are in federal custody after authorities say the men tried to smuggle marijuana into the United States through the Port of Douglas in Southern Arizona.

On Sunday Customers & Border Protection officers searched an SUV driven by a 22 year-old man from Agua Prieta, Mexico and found 113 packages of marijuana weighing 215 lbs.

Last Friday authorities inspected a pickup truck driven by a 32 year-old man from Hermosillo, Mexico and found 376 lbs of marijuana concealed in the front and underneath the cab.

Both men were arrested by ICE agents, the marijuana and the vehicles used to smuggle the drugs were seized.
