The epicenter of the Corona quake is approximately 36 miles from the epicenter of this morning's Fontana quake.
Early Wednesday morning, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck near Fontana around 1:35 a.m. according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No reports of damage or injuries.
Multiple aftershocks were reported in the minutes that followed the initial earthquake, according to USGS. The largest aftershock occurred at 2:07 a.m. It was a 2.3-magnitude.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 3 miles north of Fontana in San Bernardino County and 46 miles east of Los Angeles, according to the USGS.
The Fontana Police Department and San Bernardino Sheriff's Department both say there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Most residents posting to the USGS community Internet intensity map reported the quake felt light to weak. Some residents of Fontana and San Bernardino reported the shaking as moderate.
