Aldermen propose new way to fight `unfair` city sticker tickets

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Two Chicago aldermen have proposed an ordinance that would allow drivers to fight "unfair" tickets for failing to display their city stickers - if they have proof one was already purchased.

Right now sticker fines are a hefty $200. Under the current law, failing to post the sticker to a car's windshield isn't enough to get a ticket thrown out.

The proposal was sent to the City Council's finance committee for consideration.
