CTA Blue Line service has been delayed on the North Side on Tuesday morning after a man fell on the tracks in the Logan Square neighborhood.

The man, thought to be in his 50s, fell on the tracks a few minutes before 9 a.m. just north of the Logan Square station in the 2700 block of North Spaulding, police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said, citing preliminary information.

Police said the man was in critical condition. CTA spokesperson Lambrini Lukidis said he was taken "alive and conscious" to a hospital.

Trains were experiencing "minor" delays as of 9:24 a.m., according to the CTA website. Power was temporarily shut down between the Irving Park and Damen stations after the incident.
