Renesha Tames is haunted by her day at work. It was 11:30am Friday, Jan. 17 when two suspects boldly walked into the Super 8 motel in Lincoln Park. At least one had a gun. They came in through the unlocked doorway, pointed a gun and punched Tames in the mouth with the weapon. The suspect fired a shot that narrowly missed Renesha then he ordered her to the safe.

"Once he hit me in the face, that's when the gun went off," the victim told Fox 2. "I didn't know where the bullet went or anything. That's when the guy took me over there and told me to give him all the money out of the cash register."

Both suspects tried to cover their faces with bandanas. They stole about $200 cash. Both were caught on camera. The two young black men are both about 6 feet tall, one with black Air Jordan sneakers, the other wearing white sneakers. The pistol was silver plated. Police took the fired round out of an office copy machine. Renesha was not seriously hurt. The 23-year-old has not returned to work.

The suspects also stole the victim's purse. If you have any information, call Lincoln Park police or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP

A massive construction project is underway in Macomb County. If you travel on Van Dyke, you know how rough it is. Now, jackhammers are out there tearing up a two-and-a half mile stretch from 11 Mile to Chicago Rd. The road will be milled, then resurfaced with asphalt. New curbs will be installed. Nine intersections get new traffic signals. Sidewalks will be ramped to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Weather permitting, the project will be finished this summer.
