Protesters marched through the halls of Northland Mall Monday demanding the security guards allegedly involved in the death of Mackenzie Cochran be fired. Cochran died after a struggle with the guards, in which he was pepper-sprayed and restrained.

The protest was held by the National Action Network, family members of Cochran and witnesses of the scene. The struggle was caught on cell phone video.

Northland Mall general manager Brent Reetz wouldn't say Monday whether the guards were still employed or not. Protesters were asked to leave mall property. Reetz said he the mall was willing to meet with individual representatives privately.

FOX 2's Randy Wimbley was at the protest Monday and spoke with witnesses and members of the National Action Network.

The Southfield Police Department says it will be weeks before it receives the Cochran's autopsy details. Once that happens the department can finish its investigation and give the findings to the Oakland Co. Prosecutor's Office.
