Nude adult party held at children's play center

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

It was an adult pajama party that advertised tasteful nudity and warm Jell-O wrestling. Now parents are up in arms because it all took place in a children's play center.

Inside the Krazy Kidz Play Center in Medford, Long Island, late Saturday night, adults in costumes romped inside a bouncy jungle gym.  It included nude dancing and racier activities.

On Facebook, Krazy Kidz management says it rented out the children's facility to help meet their expenses.

A mother of a 3-year-old and member of a play group told us she is stunned.

The adult event was billed as a jungle gym and pajama party for grownups who won't grow up and declared there would be no orgy, smut, strippers or sexually lewd content.

But that didn't matter to many parents, who believe they crossed a dangerous line.

The Krazy Kidz management tried to reassure their regular clientele on Facebook by insisting that the space was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with a fogging spray. Management also said it is also reviewing the rental policy.

A deli owner says all the fuss is missing the point: it was just a way for Krazy Kids to make ends meet and keep its doors open.

The plan was for Krazy Kids to reopen Wednesday. It is too early to tell how many playgroups will keep their standing reservations.

Federal authorities say seven Long Island restaurants have agreed to pay nearly $1.7 million in back wages to 363 waiters and kitchen workers. The U.S. Labor Department says the restaurants - six in Suffolk and one in Nassau - were accused of paying workers below the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. They also were accused of paying employees off the books, failing to pay time and a half for overtime and other violations.
