ROMULUS, Mich. - Two Delta regional jets once stuck on a snowy taxiway at Detroit Metropolitan airport have been freed, FOX 2's Amy Lange reports.

Lange says the nose of the jets each became stuck in separate snow piles during Wednesday's winter storm that pushed through the.

Crews used tugs to try to pull the jets onto drier patches of road.

Airport spokesman Mike Conway said the jets, which seat between 50-70 people, did have passengers onboard.

Conway said crews are working hard to keep the runways clear and did not report any other delays. Click here to track flights and delays.
