In this special edition of Let it Rip, Governor Rick Snyder joins FOX 2's Huel Perkins, Charlie Langton and Charlie LeDuff to discuss his proposed $52 billion state budget.

Some of the highlights of the budget include:

- $100/per pupil increase in schools
- $80 million more for colleges
- $254 million for roads
- $120 million into state's "rainy day fund"

The governor also proposes to give homeowners earning under $60,000 a year a break on their property taxes.

The panel discusses if the recent budget cuts led to a prisoner escaping from an Ionia correctional facility earlier in the week.

Gov. Snyder also talks about the bridge project, his idea to bring pandas to Detroit and that scuba scene in his Super Bowl commercial.
