TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -- Authorities have released the name of a 64-year-old man found slain behind a counter in the Troy gas station where he worked.

Police say Athir Putres, of Rochester, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Police have said two customers entered the Clark station at Rochester and South Blvd. about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. When a clerk never showed up to help them, they looked behind the counter and saw Putres on the floor.

No arrests have been made and investigators are reviewing video from surveillance cameras.

Police say it's not clear if robbery was behind the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Troy police at (248) 524-3477.
