Jeylyn, Kirsten & Keymani: Crafting For A New Family To Love

Posted: Updated:

This week on Wednesday's Child we join three siblings in mixing up outdoor activities indoors at the Los Angeles Convention Center, home of the 2014 Los Angeles Boat Show. Take a look at Jeylyn, Kirsten, and Keymani as they explore all that the LA Boat Show has to offer – from rafting to crafting and more!

Jeylyn (2001) is a calm, neat, and athletic young lad. Jeylyn enjoys soccer, kick ball, basketball and skateboarding, so it was no wonder that he was a natural at the surfing simulator! Jeylyn takes pride in his appearance and presentation and he enjoys making others laugh and smile, especially his young siblings.Jeylyn hopes to have a career in law enforcement someday.

Kirsten (2006) is a talkative and candid child. Kirsten likes to read books, jump rope, color, and dress up her dolls. She also likes to play soccer when she's outdoors. In many ways it
doesn't matter as much to her what she is doing as long as she's with her big brother and little sister.

Keymani (2007) is a very curious and energetic little girl. Keymani is outgoing and sociable and enjoys playing dress up, jumping rope and playing dolls. And while Keymani finds
herself "in the same boat" as her brother and sister in many ways, the three of them do not currently live in the same foster home. We know there is a family out there that can help turn
the tide and provide these three the opportunity to grow up together in a stable home.

Hell on earth, that's how some doctors describe Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa also known as E.B. It's a horrible genetic disease that Nicky Zahorcak was born with. A lot of his skin is raw, the slightest touch can cause blisters that quickly spread. He says, "Right now, all the bandages that you see everywhere even on my sides, they're all raw skin." His mother Silvia says very few people know about this rare condition and she wants to change that.
