ATLANTA, Ga. -

Atlanta's first Streetcar arrived Monday, to a crowd of traffic engineers and excited neighbors.

According to the official Atlanta Streetcar page, the organization says "The initial route of the Atlanta Streetcar will connect the Centennial Olympic Park area to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site. It is a unique effort by the Federal DOT, the City of Atlanta, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, and MARTA."

This initial car is the first in larger plan for street and rail cars throughout Atlanta, the group says.
