CTA Orange Line trains delayed after reports of fire in subway

CTA Orange Line trains are operating once again, but with delays, Tuesday afternoon after a small fire was reported in the subway on the South Side.

Service was suspended between Roosevelt and Western after a minor fire was reported near the Ashland station about 12:30 p.m., according to the CTA. Service was restored just after 1 p.m. but there are delays.

The CTA recommends riders take the No. 62 Archer bus as an alternative.
