Double Homicide In Olney Neighborhood Remains Unsolved

PHILADELPHIA -

A shooting incident in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood claimed two victims last night. The incident happened on the 5600 block of Palethorp Street.

The first victim, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene while the other died later at the hospital.

Police found the victims inside a car that crashed into another parked car. When rescue squads had arrived, the car's engine was on fire. Officials didn't realize that the victims were shot until the fire was put out and the two were pulled out of the car. Both victims were shot in the head.

The search for the shooter continues.
