A collision in Detroit involving a truck and a Ford Focus has killed three people.
The collision happened in the area of the Southfield service drive and Plymouth. The truck somehow toppled over, crushing the other vehicle. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Rescue crews used the jaws of life to remove the victims from inside the compact car.
They have been identified as Tracy Thomas, 44, William Thomas, 52, and their mother Dorothy Thomas, 72.
Tracy worked at Starters Bar and Grille not far from the site of the accident. Family says she was scheduled to work today.
The owner of Starters tells FOX 2's Robin Murdoch Tracy was just like family to him and the rest of the employees, and that's why he plans to pitch in as much as he can including paying for her funeral if needed.
