FOX 29's Steve Keeley Goes Up Against Snowplow

Posted: Updated:
WOODSTOWN, N.J. -

FOX 29's Steve Keeley spent all Monday morning in New Jersey covering our snowstorm and wound up having a little mishap with a snowplow.

Keeley got blasted with snow from the plow train while reporting live from the side of the road at a peach orchard in Woodstown around 6:30 a.m.

This is the 15th snowstorm Keeley has reported on this winter. Clearly he is a pro at it now. He didn't even miss a beat!

Later, in the 7 a.m. hour, the veteran reporter reflected on the incident, saying he was 20 feet from the road and that shows how far plows can throw snow when traveling at high speeds.

Keeley also had some fun with the incident, telling "Good Day Philadelphia's" Mike Jerrick, "You know I've spent my whole time here, ever since the invention of YouTube, I have done everything I could to avoid being a YouTube star, and I think that hit will be on YouTube."

He joked that a reporter from another TV station in town was driving the plow.

Actually, someone claiming to be the real driver of the plow called our newsroom later Monday morning saying he was sorry and didn't see him.

Keeley also sprinkled in some humor and local history as he filed his reports from the following spots in addition to Woodstown on Monday morning: Elmer, Logan Township, Millville, Monroeville and Mullica Hill.

The tour was reminiscent of a Jan. 29 snowstorm, when Keeley did live reports from seven different communities.
