2 arrested for CVS murder, 3rd suspect still on the loose

DETROIT (WJBK) -

Two suspects have been arrested for the murder of the CVS security guard. Detroit police are still looking for the third suspect.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said at a news conference Wednesday that both suspects arrested are in their early 20s.

Craig says the third suspect still on the loose is considered armed and dangerous. He has been identified as Jamare Lanelle Rucker, 20. Craig says he "needs to turn himself in quickly."

The shooting occurred at the CVS pharmacy on Schaeffer Highway near West McNichols Road on February 26. Police say Courtney Meeks, 24, was confronting three suspects in the process of carjacking a woman and a 6-year-old child when he was shot and killed.
