Bears sign Jeremiah Ratliff to a 2-year deal

LAKEFOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with DT Jeremiah Ratliffon a two-year contract.

         Ratliff started four-of-five games played for the Bears in 2013 after signingwith the team in November, recording 14.5 tackles – including 1.5 sacks and onetackle for a loss.

         During Ratliff's nine-year NFL career with Dallas (2005-12) and Chicago, thefour-time Pro Bowler (2008-2011) has started 89-of-109 games played, recording331.5 tackles – including 28.5 sacks and 26 TFLs – 13 fumble recoveries andfive forced fumbles.

         The former Cowboys 2005 seventh-round draft pick (224th overall), has appearedin at least 15 games in six (2006-11) of his nine NFL seasons, includingstarting all 16 in four seasons (2008-11).

         The Bears have now signed 10 players who were due to become unrestricted freeagents March 11, most of any team in the NFL.
