Barbie has been a favorite of little girls for years. Now, there's talk that she's tanking career goals and aspirations for girls.
A new study claims girls who play with Barbie have a narrower outlook on career possibilities.
Here's how researchers came to their conclusion: 4-year-old girls were given a fashion Barbie, doctor Barbie and a Mrs. Potato Head.
After playing with them for 10 minutes, they were shown photos of 10 occupations and asked which ones they could do and which one boys could do.
The girls who preferred the Fashion and Doctor Barbies saw themselves in fewer occupations than boys.
