New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie was in Atlanta today to help Georgia Governor Nathan Deal campaign for his re-election bid.
His appearance comes as the two men try to overcome traffic jams that have damaged their reputations.
The luncheon was held at the East Lake Golf Club with tickets costing ten-thousand dollars a pop.
Christie and Deal have been under fire in recent months for their handling of traffic jams that brought them unwanted national attention.
For Governor Deal, it was the state's handling of January's snow jam that left much of the metro-area in gridlock, in some cases for about 24 hours.
As for Christie, he came under fire when high level staffers within his office, rigged a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge last September to get back at a local political rival.
Despite being a polarizing figure, Christie could be the GOP's presidential candidate in 2016.
Of course Governor Deal is getting revved up for a re-election bid.
