A Kennesaw State University student is making amazing progress after she almost died while rock climbing.
Brittany Decker was climbing near Chattanooga when she fell more than 50 feet and landed on a massive boulder.
Fortunately two of her climbing buddies were first responders.
They kept her calm and still until rescue teams could get to her.
Brittany shattered and fractured a total of three vertebrae and fractured her skull. Doctor's in Chattanooga performed emergency surgery to fuse her spine, hoping to prevent permanent paralysis.
Brittany's mother calls it a miracle that less than three weeks later her daughter is home - and walking.
Brittany says she knows it won't be anytime soon, but she's eager to climb again.
