A local man says he's grateful for his freedom.
He was recently locked away in a local jail on drug charges.
But he didn't commit the crime.
And it took almost two weeks for police to figure that out!
It all started back in November of last year when Douglasville police arrested one man at a hotel, finding large quantities of meth and another basement drug known as GHB in his car.
The passenger got away but he was recorded on hotel surveillance video and he looked like Christopher Summerour.
Inside the vehicle police also discovered several IDs including Summerour's who says someone stole his identity from his mothers home.
After being jailed, Summerour's wife and attorney built his alibi by proving he was at work at a roofing company backed by records he'd taken public transportation.
They also convinced a detective to compare the surveillance video to Summerour and his tattoos.
Life is slowly returning to normal for Summerour and his family.
