Fog, drizzle expected to begin the work week

Posted: Updated:

Fog, drizzle and cooler temperatures are expected to start the work week.

FOX 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Jeff Hill say the fog will set in during the overnight hours. Temperatures will dip into the 50s through morning and are expected to go lower Monday afternoon, dropping down into the 40s. Some areas in the northeastern corner of the state could see below freezing temperatures.

The heaviest rain moved through on Sunday dropping up to 1.5 inches of rain in some areas of north Georgia. The remaining precipitation through Monday evening should just be a drizzle to light rain.
