Four injured after GA bound bus overturns

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA -

Multiple injuries were reported after a bus heading to Georgia from New York overturned in Virginia.

The accident happened just outside the Washington D.C. metro area in Stafford County, Virginia around 4 a.m. Monday morning.

The bus, registered to Princess Tours, is described as a commercial passenger bus. Reportedly, the bus had recently stopped to refuel at a gas station in Woodbridge, Virginia.

A spokesperson with Virginia State Police, says there were 54 passengers aboard the bus and four suffered serious injuries. The injured passengers were transported to nearby medical centers. 

The cause of this crash is currently under investigation.

The driver of the bus, Qilong Xaio was charged with Reckless Driving. He is being held on a $5,000 unsecured bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Princess Tours and Virginia State Police have arranged for standed passengers to their final destinations.
