Police: Phoenix shooting victim knocks on door

PHOENIX -

Phoenix police say a shooting victim knocked on the door of a residence and announced he'd been shot.

This happened early Tuesday morning near 63rd Avenue and Osborn.

Sgt. Steve Martos says the man then collapsed. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

The victim is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s.

Homicide detectives are encouraging anyone with information about this crime to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
