Fire Truck Fall In Sinkhole En Route To A Call

Posted: Updated:

Sinkhole in Indianapolis traps a fire truck as it was en route to a reported house fire.

Engine 29 was dispatched Monday morning to a fire and crews couldn't get the truck until Tuesday morning!

The fire department says the truck's rear driver's side wheels sank right into the pavement.

The hole, which is located on the south side of the city, is about 4ft by 8 ft.

Firefighters on board were responding to a fire at an unoccupied one-story home, which they say was minimal and extinguished quickly.

None of the firefighters were injured.
