A cash reward of up to $20,000 is being offered to the person who speaks up about the murder of Karim Khamarko, who was found shot inside the Dollar Club Plus in Ferndale in 2010.

A customer found Khamarko bleeding behind the counter near the cash register. Khamarko was still alive when police arrived, but died later from the gunshot wounds.

Ferndale police were following several leads at first, but eventually the case grew cold.

The Chaldean Chamber has contributed $10,000 of the reward, along with $7,500 from Khamarko's family and friends and $2,500 from Crime Stoppers of Michigan.

Khamarko was 64 years old. Khamarko was a father, grandfather and husband. He enjoyed making barbecue dinners, gardening, fixing things around his home and most of all playing with his grandchildren.
