32 injured in Chicago train derailment

32 people were injured after a train derailed at Chicago O'Hare Airport on Monday morning.

According to FOX 32 News, the train was an 8-car "Blue Line" train. The derailment happened around 2:50 a.m.

According to Brain Steele, a spokesperson with the Chicago Transit Authority, the train crashed through several barriers before heading up the escalator.

Authorities don't know how many people were on the train, at the time of the accident. But officials believe the train was "probably going faster than normal rate of speed."

Police say the train operator was "walking and talking" after the accident. Those affected were transported to four different area hospitals.

No word on the official cause of the accident, at this time.
