FEAR OF FIREWORKS

Did you know that the Fourth of July results in the highest number of animals in any shelter ?  Many dogs, and cats, are fearful of the firework sounds causing them to run or flee from the sound often escaping the house or yard.  They will continue running to get away from the sound.  Owners of pets need to be extra vigilant to keep their pets safe in the house while fireworks are occurring.

An additional measure to protect your pet is to be sure they have identification.  If they do not have an identification tag, you can write your phone number on a pet's collar.  But, if your pet ends up lost, or in a shelter, the best way to get it back home is to have some type of identification.

Should your pet become lost, contact your local Police Department and your local Animal Shelter.

It's not just the styles that have changed with weddings over the years -- it's also the technology. Disposable cameras used to be the norm, but now there's an even simpler way for the bride and groom to get some candid photos of their special day.
